Hello form the Holfoth house-

Simon has 2 soccer games left, We are in playoffs for football. Joshua's fall baseball season came to a screeching halt when he tried to block the football pass while camping with his boy scout buddies.

Joshua had his first x-ray that he remembers, to confirm that his left thumb was in fact broken. Only 2 more weeks to go in the 3 week cast. medical technology is amazing. What middle school boy isn't thrilled to have a water proof cast?

Wonderful to celebrate Joshua's 12th b'day with the family. We are all healthy- well kind of...

No Update...Just a HELLO

Hello "Martin Family Communication" participants!

This is just a "HELLO" from the Hazeltons. Hope everyone is doing well. I guess no news is good news, right?

Here are some mundane Hazelton updates:
1. We are attending my 20th High School Reunion tonight. Yes! I am that OLD!
2. Gardens are starting to get ripped out and prepped for fall and winter.
3. The Rose Bush we cut down is growing back
4. All the cats are good.
5. I am up for a promotion at work....management! Uh-oh is right (I heard some of you say that!)
6. We are going to see Anthony Bourdain speak at Proctors in November! How cool is that?

See.....I told you it was mundane.

Happy Columbus Day weekend!

Hello from Long Island

Rosemary and Simon came to Long Island today to help re-open the historic Nunley's Carousel. The Carousel used to stand in Baldwin where Debbie worked and has been in storage for many years. It was sent to Ohio to be restored last year and it re-opened today on Museum Row. Simon was the 'first rider' on the pony sponsored by Milburn School where Debbie was principal. That pony is named "Martin's Milburn Pride." Afterwards, we went to the Cradle of Aviation museum, the Firefighters' Museum, and the Long Island Children's Museum. We had an awesome day!!

Joshua

Good news from the Holfoth's:
Joshua's Cub Scout journey comes to an end on March 20th when he crosses over to Boy Scouts. At that time he will receive the highest award in cub scouting, the Arrow of Light. We are proud of Joshua's diligence and commitment. Woo-hoo! Clapping, and all out hoopla!

An update on Nana. Yesterday (Friday January 23rd) was a bad day. She was agitated, wouldn't eat etc... After some tests it was determined she is in renal failure. Her body systems seem to be shutting down. She is on oxygen and the medication, Rexinol (SP? ) to help her feel calm and peaceful. It seems that she is preparing to move on.
Say a prayer,
Rosemary

GREAT news about Captain Ken!!! We got about 6 inches overnight. Nothing to stop us. Suzanne seems to have been getting more than we have! Good sledding today.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone. Cold and clear here. The 55 mph winds from yesterday are gone.
Damian and Jenn coming to dinner after Damian's stint at the museum.
So many wedding pics. Hard to choose. I think Rosemary's and Debbies are excellent ones also.
Love the ones Rosemary sent for Christmas.
Enjoy today!
